Guest post | This season's trousers

Editor's note: Laura from Matches submitted this guest post and the trouser picks were just too good to pass up! Enjoy.

With long summer days fading fast, trousers are first on the autumn/winter wish list and they are literally everywhere in every style this season. When the weather starts to become a little unpredictable they are great for rainy or colder days.
Tailored trousers are a brilliant trend for the office and can be found in many different colours so you can be as daring as you like. Green and cobalt blue are bang on trend right now and so you can be sure to look ultra-stylish while at the office. Maxmarahas opted for orange-red in his latest collection. They can easily be taken from day to night by swapping a fitted shirt for a sheer blouse and adding some killer heels.

Cropped trousers are great for in between days (not warm enough for a skirt, cold enough for trousers) and will give you the same options as tailored trousers. For the fashion-forward try a vivid yellow or if classic shades are more for you go with an old favourite that will never date, navy.
For casual style try a loungey palazzo style. Easy enough to be worn for shopping, walking or just snuggled up at home. A great alternative to the maxi skirt, they will look great with a fitted vest top and a statement gold necklace. They can be worn with comfy flats or dressed up with a pair of platform gold wedges.
Coloured denim is a go to trend this season and you can’t beat pastel shades this season. Lilac, mint green and candy colours are the perfect way to add some colour to your winter wardrobe even if the weather leaves a lot to be desired.
