sweet swedish summer.

We have been receiving so much love from Sweden these last few months, we've been getting so many orders and new customers it's just incredible! There is definitely something in the water over there as each girl is just as sweet and beautiful as the next and Frida Grahn is no exception! How amazing are these photos that she took for her blog wearing our 'First Love' bustier, we are just in awe. These photos make us so excited for the hot summer sun, and even more excited to launch our newest bustier collection which will be online in just a matter of weeks! And what would our newest collection be without an exciting competition to go with it? Stay tuned, you're not going to want to miss out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend pretty girls.

Asos dress asos mint dress
Estie's Closet blazer (gifted) | Asos dress | Uniqlo tights

Usually I'd take the time to iron an Asos dress after ripping it out of the box, but I couldn't bear to have any more distance between the dress and myself any longer. Its strength is in its plastic panels, and I can bear with it sticking to my thighs when I sit down if it means I can wear something this unique. Sorry, suckers, I bought the last one!

Another harbinger of happiness of late was the arrival of this dusty pink blazer from Estie's Closet. With a price point as accessible as they get, I wasn't expecting the quality of the fabric and the cut to be as good as they were. It's not a winter jacket by anybody's standards, but it will be perfect for spring nights. This one's not available anymore, but there is a similar peach number for $35 (a decent blazer for $35 - say whaaa?!).

We just love seeing photos of our lovely customers in their favourite casper&pearl pieces, especially when their as beautiful and creative as these! Very talented blogger from Sydney, Loz Bugitti photographed and styled this shoot of Keelin wearing the orange c&p floral headpiece (mixed with other headbands) and she looks impeccable! Don't you agree? We think she really captured the innocent nature of the casper&pearl girl!

A little goth never hurt anybody, but more often than not I'm too happy to fool anybody. Although in this case I'm especially happy because I just bought a beautiful Sigma 15mm fisheye lens. Nice, hmm?

Also, I found out this week I was included in the Independent Fashion Bloggers' list of 15 top Australian blogs. I am beyond honoured, since I've been reading that site for years, even when I wasn't blogging!

IZE Magazine Shoot.

We were recently approached by an amazingly talented photographer named Demi Cambridge to feature one of our 'First Love' bustiers in a photo shoot, and we are in love with the end results! The series, which will be featured in IZE Magazine this September, told a story about a girl frolicking in between rural roads, sunflower fields, old shacks and through the roads of Texas and Killarney. The beautiful model Shelby Bourke from BUSY models depicts the casper&pearl girl in this editorial, she appears so free-spirited and adventurous! This bustier will be available to purchase from our brand spankin new website very soon!

The Loft Upstairs lookbook

The mezzanine in Adelaide Arcade is really coming to life, what with several adorable boutiques having opened there in the past few months. One of those stores you might recognise as previously living in North Adelaide: The Loft Upstairs. What I love about the vintage and consignment boutique is that its clothes don't have that awkward, stuffy look that you find haunting many popular vintage stores - and its consignment section is a melange of new and vintage designer picks. So it's no surprise that I was thrilled to shoot their lookbook, and even more thrilled to shoot new face Harriet Wakefield. The 16-year-old natural beauty has a Blake Lively-esque face, and believe it or not, this was her first time in front of the lens. More photos on Facebook.

Explore the world!

There comes a time in most of lives where we start to get bored and feel as though we are becoming robotic in everything we do......

One way to overcome this stagnant feeling, is to explore the world, explore your surroundings, see what's out there...

Your eyes may be opened to the unimaginable or to something that inspires you to make changes in your life and push you to do something you never thought you could.....

The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.....George Bernard Shaw

It was a March day of dumplings and apple products, pop-up wineries and expensive cameras, coffee and cuffed jeans. (Before you say hipster, Instagram was not involved.) Come back summer, we miss you.

Photos by the excellent (not to mention devilishly handsome) Nick Lawrence.
